Following Fancois-Regis Mughe’s refusal to play the 34th edition of the African cup of nations with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, manager and head Coach Rigobert Song has call for Nicolas Brice Moumi Ngamaleu, another old hand in the outside right position, to complete the 27 man list for the competition.
Mughe who turned down coach Rigobert Song’s invitation to defend the lions for the continental football jamboree pretexted that he want to increase his play time with is French side Olympic of Marseilles.
As for 29 year old Moumi Ngamaleu who plays for Dynamos of Moscow in Russia will be participating in his second continental football fiesta since he was present with the lions in the 33rd edition of the AFCON that was hosted by Cameroon under head Coach Antonio Consesao, where the country of President Paul Biya was humbled with a silver medal.
Ngamaleu who is a no nonsense attacker counts 3 goals on 9 assists in his 46 caps with the five times African champions. While fans were looking at Choupo for the replacement of Mughe, Coach Song’s calculations were different.
Though in the eyes of some football analysts the indomitable lions of Cameroon are not counted among the favorites of this competition, they might not be far from a surprise as this is one of the trademarks of the Green Red Yellow boys.
